Happy New Year

Happy New Year!

I cannot believe that it is 2013 already! This past year has been jam packed full for our family and we look forward to a busy and adventurours 2013.

So the year in reveiw for us.

High Lights

1.  The Birth of Hayden is at the top of the list for sure. I still look at him every day in awe and am so thankful and blessed that he is our little boy!  His birth was very healing for me, and I thank God every day that he gave us Hayden to complete our family.  The support of Jeral, and my friend Karen during the birthing process is exactly what I needed.

2. Being able to celebrate the wedding of my friend Karen to her soul mate Bruce (and not being super pregnant, instead I had an almost 3 week old in my arms. 

3. Getting family photos doing with my family!  We will have to do some again soon as Hayden was in my tummy for the big family photos.  Oh well it is a good reason to get Heather Sayers to take more photos of us and our cute kids.

4.  Being able to gather as a Krahn extended family twice this past year!  I love watching my kiddos interact with their aunts, uncles, cousins, and grandparents.

5.  Everyday with Kenzie, Jaris, and Hayden (yes I also have tough days with them, yet I would not give up those days either.  I am so thankful for their presence in our home and lives and cannot fathom a life without them).

6.  Getting to hang out with my sister and her kids lots.  It has been a great few years of having them close by and I am sad now that they are in Calgary because I cannot just call her up and say hey I am thinking of coming to visit today.  We will still get to visit just now the visits will be two or three times a year instead of two or three times a month.

7. Celebrating 6 years of being married to the love of my life!  Thanks Jeral for being my partner in life and in parenting and loving our kids.  I would not want to be on this journey with anyone other than you!

In 2013 we have some big things ahead of us.  Namely Jaris' IHCAN assessment.  We are already putting a supportive team around us, and are thankful that we know so much more about children with ASD (Autism Spectrum Disorder) or PDD (Pervasive Developmental Disorder).  Early intervention is key so we desire to get all the support people and interventions in place as soon as we can.  We know our little boy is a miracle and I know he is going to teach us so many things about God and even us.  I am blessed to be his mama. 

We also have my upcoming gallbladder surgery.  Still not sure when it is going to take place.  In the mean time now that Christmas is over I am sticking to a strict diet so I will stop feeling sick and yucky all the time.  Lots of fruit, veggies, rice and soups!  And using my new treadmill that Jeral got me for Christmas! 

Well that is it for us!  Our family hopes 2012 was amazing and that 2013 is equally amazing!
