Leaving on a Jet Plane ... -

Hmmm okay not on a Jet plane, more like a motor bike for 11 days! Let the fun begin tomorrow morning at 8 am!!!!!!!!!! And oh the things I need to do today before we leave.

At least one thing got done and that was our long profiles got printed and coil bound. Not without much drama though. They printed everything once and I was not happy with the way things were aligned and that the printer changed the font and then word spacing got messed up. We we had to reprint and reprint the whole thing once and some other pages three or four times. It was insane. And me not wanting to complain got stuck paying for it all. Oh well at least they are done and will go to the adoption agency on Thursday!

I hope you are all having a fantastic summer! See you in 11 or so days!

Home Study and Just Life Update!

So last week we signed off on our homestudy, and today I called the agency that did our homestudy to find out if they had sent the paper work off to the agency that we are going to adopt through. The paper work was sent off today!!!!!!!!!!!! Yeah for that. We are finally officially in the books.

So now we are in a waiting game. I am still praying very much so that our baby is in our arms and home by the end of summer. It's all a waiting now for us! So wait we will do.

In the mean time this week is super busy. Tomorrow I get to hang out with my amazing God-Daughters for the day. Wednesday I am going to Kamloops to help move boxes to the place my mom is moving too. Thursday I am babysitting, and then taking a friend to the airport. Friday I am hosting a Beauty Control Spa Party. Saturday is the official moving day for my mom. Sunday some friends are coming. Monday is packing, and on Tuesday we leave for the Abbotsford, Langley, Vancouver, Courtenay, Victoria, and Pender Island. We are gone for 11 days on the motor bike. Oh the bliss!!!!!!!

So that is life. We are enjoying life and having fun!

Busy Weekend

Well we have had a busy weekend so far. On Friday Jeral's sister and her family arrived for the weekend, so we decided to have everyone over for a BBQ 18 people in total. This group included our god-children and their family as well as the rest of our amazing family.

She got a hold of the chips and that was it they were hers!

Friends and family

More friends and family

Me and Chloe! She is totally an escape artist. The older kids all went next door to go swimming and before we knew it she was in the middle of the field heading straight for the older kids!

Chilling with Uncle Jeral

Then today we were over at my sister in laws house celebrating my nephews birthday. He turned 13. Pictures are still not down loaded. I will get to that eventually.

In other news my hip totally went last night and I had to resort to muscle relaxants to stop the spasms. Oiy! Oh well, hope fully I can get things under control and get back to running again. If not I will have to settle for walking!

I am looking forward to this next week. I have nothing to do so I am going to relax in the sun, and read lots. However knowing me I will find other things to keep me busy also!

General Update

Well it is July and I decided it was time to get a blog post in this month. So here is a general update on us!

We are managing to grieve the loss of the little baby girl we had hoped to adopt. Unless you are walking the adoption journey I think it may be hard to understand why we are grieving, all I can say is that for us knowing about this baby girl, knowing that she needs parents who will love her and take care of her, desiring to be those parents for her and then having that all taken away is like having a miscarriage. We were dreaming and looking forward to having her in our arms and now that will not happen. However we are Trusting out Heavenly Father in all of this. Normally things like this would drive a wedge between us in our marriage, and yet this last week as we have relied on God, we have been drawn closer together. God is showing us if we rely on Him and turn to each other, and are understanding with each other this journey does not have to take the toll on our marriage that it does take and can take on marriages. Reality is though that I have an amazing husband. Yeah sure he may not understand everything I say the first time around, however truly who does have a husband who gets things first time around!!!! :) I love him, and an learning to love him more and more ever day, and when the tough stuff hits, I am reminded that love is a choice, a choice I promised I would make, and will do my best to keep making!!!!!!!!!!!

Today we are jumping on the motor bike and going to my mom's church. It is Biker Sunday there, so we every year go and hang out with a bunch of bikers at my mom's church. I have a bit of a problem with the bike, and that is how do I keep my hair perfectly curled with the wind blowing it all over the place, and having a helmet crush my perfect curls. Oh well I will straighten my hair today and that will solve the problem.

Sometime this week we will be at the fertility clinic having the first IUI procedure done. Jeral and I agreed that we would give this a go while we wait for our adopted baby. However God gives us children first we will lovingly, gladly, and joyously accept.
